Fry Light Stuff

Instead of oil why not give frylight a go. Its only one cal per spray. It can really help you cut down on fat.

Frylight Products

I use this for frying eggs, about 6 sprays on the pan before cooking the egg.
I've found the eggs taste so much better this way.

They do an extra virgin olive oil spray too, for salads etc.

All products are available from Asda supermarkets.

Give Up Ciggies

Its January and because it’s the new year a lot of people are trying to kick the habit.

People do turn to food when they quit, their appetite can return and instead of reaching for the
Packet of ciggies they reach for a snack.

Here are some tips for quitting cigarettes for good and remember don’t reach for a snack instead of a ciggie.

Not everyone can give up instantly, cut down but set a date where you will quit for good.

Be realistic and aggressive with your targets.

Use Nicotine replacement products. There are lots available.

Keep on telling yourself how much money you are saving. Work out how much you spend a year.

Get a friends help.

Find out when you are at your weakest and stay away from those situations until you are confident on resisting.

If you need help visit http://www.givingupsmoking.co.uk/ the NHS smoking helpline is 0800 1690169

Write down your plan for giving up.

Keep telling yourself why you are giving up.

It’s just one part of a healthy lifestyle, which include exercise and diet.

Start by Taking One Step Backwards

Before you start your diet, just think for one minute and try to go back to the
Way you were eating before Xmas for a week or two.

Xmas is a time of indulgence and to suddenly stop eating not just that food,
but cut out a lot of the things you are use to eating is probably why a lot of people
give up on diets in the New Year.

I mean changing your eating habits is hard enough without all the other pressures
that a new year can throw at you.

I hate the adverts on the tv at the moment trying to get you to take a two week
challenge by having two bowls of cereal instead of one.

Maybe you will drop a belt size, but come on isn’t the idea a way of eating to stay inshape for life?

Keep a honest diary of what you eat and exercise in those two weeks
and you can see how you can improve your diet.

Start just one thing at a time and keep up with it.
